SHOW RULES:

*ADGA RULES SHALL GOVERN*

1. The base date recording age of the animal is Sept 1, 2025. 

2. Registrants are not limited to the number of entries they enter in an individual class. However, they are limited to three (3) entries per group class unless otherwise specified on show bill or registration form.  Note: Group classes are not ADGA approved.

3. Do not make entries in Champion, Best of Breed and Best of Show classes. 

4. All goats shall have a permanent, legible tattoo(s) (ear or tail) or microchip. The only exception shall be specialty, which shall have a legible ear tag. 

5. No feed will be furnished. 

6. Horns on goats should be of breed standard. 

7. ADGA original registration papers are required on all goats over 6 months of age. Papers will be checked per ADGA rules prior to the ADGA show by the show secretary at check in. Goats under 6 months of age must have stamped duplicate registration papers. 

8. Show order is subject to change. (This includes but not limited to: Breed Order, Showmanship Order, etc.)

9. Adhering to USDA SCRAPIES REGULATIONS, all goats must be identified with either an official scrappie ear tag OR an assigned unique tattoo. Refer to complete USDA or ODA regulations on website. 

10. All goats presented for exhibition must show no evidence of Contagious Lymphadenitis (superficial abscess), Contagious Exthymia (sore mouth) foot rot, or other contagious or infectious diseases. Unhealthy animals will be dismissed at the discretion of the committee in charge. 

11. Tampering and/or misrepresentation as to breeding, age, ownership, custody, or any other irregularities in showing will be considered fraud and deception. To maintain a high degree of confidence and integrity in the livestock show. The Trumbull County Agricultural Society reserves the right to disqualify any animal. 

12. Each exhibitor must comply with the Ohio Livestock Coalition Code of Practices. 

13. A goat CAN be shown in group classes, even if it is not being shown in an individual class.

14. Each breed must have at least (10) ten animals entered in both junior and senior for the breed to be considered sanctioned. 

15.  Junior & Senior are not separately sanctioned. 

16. The specialty show (Boer classes, Pygmy classes, and AOP Specialty classes) MUST have a minimum of 30 goats registered by August 31st, 2025, for the classes to be shown. If this minimum is not met, the specialty show will be canceled.

17. All Best of Breed Senior Doe winners are required to milk out for "Best Doe in Show." 

18. Exhibitors that purchased pens, will be required to clean their pen(s) at the conclusion of the show. No Supplies will be furnished.
